The administration of U.S. President George W. Bush took over Iraqi state television Channel 3 on 10 April, replacing tributes to deposed President Hussein with greetings from Bush, the Pentagon, and British Prime Minister Tony Blair in an effort to persuade Iraqis that they are being liberated, not occupied, "The Washington Post" reported on 11 April.
