According to "Oman Observer", two of the biggest names in global retailing have decided to come to Oman in a big way. Both Marks and Spencer and Toys R Us have signed up to take a large amount of space in the Markhaz al Bahja Shopping Mall, which opened at Seeb during last November's National Day celebrations.
Deals, which would allocate large amounts of space to these retailing giants, have been under discussion for many months and both organizations have committed themselves to a Memorandum of Understanding. A public announcement is hoped for very shortly and the plan is that both retailers will open their doors to the public this autumn. (Source: Info-Prod (Middle East) Ltd.)
