According to "Jordan Times", the National Society for Consumer Protection (NSCP) called upon the Health Ministry Monday to prevent the import of chewing gum that is being sold in packaging similar to cigarettes as well as the use of some unauthorized food coloring. The consumer watchdog said it had been receiving complaints from consumers about candies sold in the market that look like cigarette packs, "something that might encourage children to pick up bad habits like smoking," explained the president of the society, Mohammed Obeidat.
