JORDAN: JORDANIAN ISRAELI AND PALESTINIAN OFFICIALS IN DEAD SEA PRESERVATION AGREEMENT.(protection of the Dead Sea)(Brief Article)

According to "Jordan Times", Jordanian, Palestinian and Israeli officials agreed in principle to terms of reference regarding an environmental, social and feasibility study by the World Bank on a project to save the Dead Sea from degradation. Officials also discussed future plans for implementing the Protection of the Dead Sea Initiative, which calls for the channeling of water from the Red Sea to the dying Dead Sea.
The discussions were part of a gathering on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum, currently under way at the Dead Sea that is being attended by Prince Faisal, Prime Minister Ali Abul Ragheb and Senate President Zeid Rifai.
