JORDAN: AOU BOARD MEETING LAYS OUT FIVE YEAR PLAN.(Arab Open University)(Brief Article)

According to "Jordan Times", the board of trustees for the Arab Open University (AOU) said that they intend to develop new curricula, more web-based learning and to maintain the regional institution's quality of education. The board, co-chaired by Queen Rania and Prince Talal Ben Abdul Aziz, laid out a 5-year plan for the university during its first meeting.
The Queen emphasized that the quality of the institution must be maintained and that partnerships, such as the one AOU has with UNESCO to establish a telecommunications network between university branches, must continue. The AOU director, Mohammad Munther Salah, said they would maintain quality through internal checks to ensure universities meet the accreditation standards of each country hosting an AOU...
