UK: OXFORD'S CENTER FOR ISLAMIC STUDIES - PROFILE.(Brief Article)

According to IINA, Oxford University's Center for Islamic Studies will grant scholarships for studying literature, science, geography and history, and other disciplines. The Center has also organized a seminar on the improvement of the situation of Muslim prisoners in Britain. Among the recent visitors to the Center is Britain's Minister of Labor and Social Services, while the Deputy Leader of the Opposition Conservative Party gave a lecture on dialogue of civilizations.
The Center has also organized several lectures on various aspects of Islamic art, and a conference on "Peace and Stability in the Gulf." The Center publishes a newsletter known as "Islamic Studies."
