SINGAPORE: SINGTEL PLANS WIRELESS NET SERVICES AT AIRPORT.(Brief Article)

Singapore Telecommunications, which announced last week that it would set up outdoor wireless Internet surfing (WiFi) networks at all 23 public libraries in Singapore, said it was talking with government regulators for permission to start wireless Internet services at the Changi International Airport.

StarHub, which is SingTel's biggest competitor in WiFi services in Singapore, is the sole provider of wireless Internet services at the airport. SingTel wants a presence at the airport, as this would raise the company's international profile, according to SingTel officials.
