USA: MCDONNELL DOUGLAS AWARDED CONTRACT FOR APACHE AIRCRAFT.

According to the DoD., McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Co., Mesa, Ariz., was awarded on Sept. 30, 2003, a $212,847,439 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for the 16 AH-64D Apache Longbow aircraft. Work will be performed in Mesa, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2007.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on Dec. 23, 2002. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH23-03-C-0028).
