USA: LOCKHEED MARTIN AWARDED CONTRACT FOR TACTICAL MISSILE SYSTEM.

According to the DoD., Lockheed Martin Corp., Grand Prairie, Texas, was awarded on Sept. 30, 2003, a $108,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract for 140 Block IA Army tactical missile system variants (unitary) M48 missiles. Work will be performed in Dallas, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Dec.

31, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on Aug. 25, 2003. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH01-03-C-0203).
