TAIWAN: MOODY'S REVIEWS E. SUN BANK'S FINANCIAL STRENGTH RATING FOR UPGRADE.(E. Sun Commercial Bank Ltd.)(Brief Article)

Moody's placed the D bank financial strength rating of E. Sun Commercial Bank Limited on review for possible upgrade. The bank's long- and short-term deposit ratings of Baa2 and Prime-3 were affirmed. The review of the bank financial strength rating will focus on E. Sun Bank's ability to maintain recent improvements in profitability and asset quality, Moody's said.
The area of unsecured consumer credit will constitute a particular focus, as it is experiencing sharp growth and is becoming a significant profit driver.
