USA: RAYTHEON COMPANY AWARDED CONTRACT FOR MISSILE SYSTEM TRACKING SYSTEM.(Brief Article)

According to the DoD., Raytheon Company, West Andover, Mass., was awarded on Dec. 31, 2003, a $30,299,992 firm-fixed-price contract for the HAWK missile system advanced infrared tracking adjunct system (AIRTAS) kits, AIRTAS sensor/processor match sets, tooling mod kits, and AIRTAS spare parts.a Work will be performed in Tewksbury, Mass.

(38.97%), Rolling Meadows, Ill. (43.77%), Goleta, Calif. (15.86%), and Burlington, Mass. (1.47%), and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2006.a Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.a This was a sole source contract initiated on Oct. 23, 2002.a The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (W31P4Q-04-C-0031).
