Singapore will be at the centre of an aggressive expansion by information technology (IT) service provider Atos Origin as the European major seeks to grow revenues in the region through acquisitions and other means. In China for example, Atos Origin plans to quadruple its revenues, with existing long term contracts with three of China's four giant state-owned banks, its Singapore-based Asia-Pacific CEO KC Neoh told BizIT.
Atos Origin also provides backroom IT processing to six of 10 credit card businesses in China, according to the China Daily. The Asia-Pacific operations employ about 2,100 people in nine countries. Atos Origin has 50,000 staff worldwide. - (World IT Report.com)
