USA: THE BOEING CO., AWARDED CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES.(Brief Article)

According to the DoD., The Boeing Co., Anaheim, Calif., is being awarded a $6,179,948 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for engineering and technical services in support of the AN/USQ-82 (V) data multiplex system (DMS)/fiber optic data multiplex system (FODMS).

The AN/USQ-82 (V) DMS/FODMS is a DDG 51 class unique general purpose data network which provides data conversion and distribution of hull, mechanical, and electrical signals as well as AEGIS combat system signals. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va. (50 percent), and San Diego, Calif. (50 percent), and is expected to be completed in March 2009.
