INDIA: MOTOROLA MOVING CHIP DESIGN UNITS TO CHINA AND INDIA.(Brief Article)

Motorola says it is shutting its semiconductor chip-design units in Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and moving them to India and China. The world's second-largest cell phone maker says a total of 50 jobs will be lost in the move, which is partly aimed at trimming costs. Echoing protectionist sentiments in the U.S.
