USA: LOCKHEED MARTIN AWARDED CONTRACT FOR SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT.(Brief Article)

According to the DoD., Lockheed Martin Corp., Orlando, Fla., was awarded on May 5, 2004, a $53,111,721 increment as part of a $207,990,051 cost-plus-incentive-fee and fixed-price-incentive-fee contract for system development and demonstration of a Joint Common Missile. Work will be performed in Orlando, Fla.
(41 percent) and Troy, Ala. (59 percent), and is expected to be completed by September 2010. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were three bids solicited on Sept. 17, 2003, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (W31P4Q-04-C-0094).
