INDIA: SANDOZ SETS UP NEW PLANT IN INDIA.

Sandoz, the generics division of drug maker Novartis, has invested US$13 million in a third production facility in India. The investment is part of the company's global expansion of production facilities. The new unit will primarily focus on manufacturing for highly regulated markets like the US and European Union.
The facility has a capacity to produce 1 billion tablets and capsules annually and is designed to conform to USFDA standards. - (EMEconomy.com)
