QATAR: OPEC CONFERENCE OF OIL MINISTERS.(Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries )(Brief Article)

A-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper quoted Qatar Oil Minister Abdullah al-'Atiya who said in May 2004 that the oil ministers of OPEC countries will meet in Amsterdam, Netherlands, in order to discuss the Saudi Arabian proposal to increase daily oil production by 1.5 million barrels. The paper noted that this conference of oil ministers will be held in Beirut, Lebanon, in early June 2004.
Total daily oil production of OPEC countries comes to 23.5 million barrels.
