INDIA: FT ACQUIRES STAKE IN BUSINESS STANDARD.(Financial Times )(Brief Article)

According to "Business Line", the Financial Times has picked up 13.85 per cent stake in Business Standard for Rs 14.1 crore, making it the first investment by a foreign media entity in an Indian newspaper. The eight member board will now have one representation from FT. As per the current guidelines, foreign media investors can pick up only a maximum of 26 per cent in an Indian media entity.

The BS editions would carry a dedicated page of FT and FT content would also appear on BS website.
