UAE: OASIS INTERNATIONAL LEASING RECORDS DH 1.2 MILLION SEMI-ANNUAL PROFITS.(Brief Article)

According to Al-Bayan newspaper (August 11, 2004), the Oasis International Leasing, the Abu Dhabi-based big ticket leasing company, announced Dh 1.272 million net profits in the first half of the current year compared with Dh 917,000 in the corresponding period of last year. Mr. Mohammed Saif Al Mazrouei, Chairman of Oasis Leasing, said that the half-yearly results come in the wake of Oasis Leasing's recent announcement that it intends to fast-track its planned $54 million Rights Issue and increase its paid up capital to $190.3 million to take advantage of the emerging leasing opportunities.
During 2003 Oasis Leasing successfully managed the return and onward lease of four aircraft to new customers and also extended three leases with existing customers. The...
