KUWAIT: OPENING OF BRANCHES OF TWO FOREIGN BANKS.(HSBC Bank and Citibank)(Brief Article)

Al-Watan newspaper reported in July 2004 on the operations of the branches of the two foreign banks, HSBC Bank and Citibank. The paper noted that these branches are the first foreign branches to operate in Kuwait with government authorization. The Kuwait Central Bank is considering additional offers from eight foreign banks to open branches in Kuwait.
