JORDAN: FCC CHAIRMAN VISITS JORDAN.(Federal Communications Commission, Michael Powell )(Brief Article)

According to "Jordan Times", Chairman of the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Michael Powell arrived on a working visit to the Kingdom. Powell met with senior officials, at the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission and the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology. He delivered remarks before IT leaders at a luncheon hosted by int@j, in which he discussed areas of cooperation between the US and Jordanian governments and private sectors in the communications sector.
Powell also visited a school recently connected by broadband to the world wide web as part of the Jordan education initiative.
