Lebanon: Need to Receive safety Permit for Private Planes.(Brief Article)

A-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper reported on the requirement for receipt of a safety permit for private airplanes for charter purposes in accordance with the new law published on the subject. According to the new law, the fifteen owners of these planes must receive safety permits from the Civil Aviation Authority.
Among these owners of private airplanes are Deputy Prime Minister 'Ghassan Faris, Transportation and Public Works Minister Nagib Miqati, and Member of Parliament Muhammad a-Safadi. The paper quoted Director of the Civil Aviation Authority Hamdi Shawqi who said that the Authority forbids the planes of sixteen airlines from African countries and Eastern Europe to enter Lebanese airspace.
