USA: HARRIS CORP., AWARDED CONTRACT FOR THE PRODUCTION OF FIBRE CHANNEL NETWORK SWITCH.(Naval Air Systems Command)(Brief Article)

According to the DoD., Harris Corp., Melbourne, Fla., is being awarded a $6,308,577 modification to definitize a previously awarded letter contract (N00019-04-C-0030) to a firm-fixed-price contract. In addition, this modification provides for the full rate production of the Fibre Channel Network Switch (FCNS) for forward fit into the F/A-18E/F Lot 28 aircraft.

Work will be performed in Melbourne, Fla., and is expected to be completed in March 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity.
