IRAN: HYUNDAI TO BUILD 8 CRUDE CARRIERS FOR NIOTC.(Hyundai Heavy Industries Company Ltd.)(National Iranian Oil Tanker Co.)(Brief Article)

According to "Tehran Times", Hyundai Heavy Industries has an order from the National Iranian Oil Tanker Company (NIOTC) for building eight crude oil carriers. NIOTC order comprises four 317,000-ton Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCC) and four 164,000-ton crude oil carriers. The report also stressed that Hyundai had announced that NIOTC placed the order together with another order for building four liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) plants for Qatar.
The company has declared the total worth of the orders at $1.3 billion.
