JORDAN: RJ TAKES MAJOR IATA ROLE.(Samer Majali of Royal Jordanian elected as member of International Air Transport Association )(Brief Article)

According to "Jordan Times", Royal Jordanian (RJ) President and CEO Samer Majali was elected as a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) board of governors during its 61st general meeting held in Tokyo last month. Majali election came in appreciation of RJ's role in IATA and for its reputation in the fields of air safety and passenger services, according to an RJ statement.

The board of governors is IATA's highest authority. Its 30 members are elected from among chief executives of 270 international airlines. The board sets the association's rules and regulations and submits projects to be implemented to the general meeting, the statement said, in order to promote the air transport industry and facilitate travel for passengers.
