CHINA: METRO GERMANY BUILDS ITS PRESENCE IN KUNMING WITHIN YEAR.

According to fdi.gov.cn: Metro (Beichen), a joint venture between Metro Germany and North-town Passenger Transport Company Limited of Kunming will be open to business within this year. The Germany-headquartered Metro Group has over 500 stores in 28 countries. It has a target customer base of small and medium-sized retailers, hotels, catering service providers, plants, non-profit organizations, government and other social groups.

It offers products which are properly branded, packaged and priced. The Metro store due to be opened in Kunming covers nearly 9,000 square meters. It will be offering over 20,000 types of products and creating at least 800 to 1000 job opportunities.
