Al-Bayan newspaper quoted Director of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Sheikh Ahmad bin Sa'id al-Maktum, who said in mid-June 2005 that Dubai Logistics City will cover 25 square kilometers and will begin to operate in 2007. This project will be able to handle various marine and aeronautical logistical matters to the year 2050.
