USA: BUSINESS MACHINES AWARDED CONTRACT FOR EXPLOITATION PROGRAM.

International Business Machines Corp., Yorktown Heights, N.Y., was awarded on Nov. 7, 2005, a $8,285,000 increment of a $12,854,453 cost-reimbursement cooperative agreement under the Global Autonomous Language Exploitation program. Work will be performed in Yorktown Heights, N.Y., and will be completed in October 2010.
Funds will expire at the end of this fiscal year. DARPA issued a solicitation in Federal Business Opportunities on March 18, 2005, and 21 proposals were received. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency is the contracting activity (HR0011-06-2-0001).
