CHINA: ROCHE HIGH POTENT PRODUCTION BASE COMPLETED IN SHANGHAI.

According to fdi.gov.cn: Roche High Potent Production Base was recently completed in Shanghai. Roche CEO and Board Chairman said the 140-million-RMB base was the first world-leading high-potent base Roche had built. The base is expected to launch operation in early 2006, mainly responsible for producing two new Roche medicines, CellCept (used for prevention of organ rejection) and Xeloda (oral chemotherapy for metastatic colorectal cancer).
Over 300,000 transplant patients are reportedly using the above-mentioned drugs worldwide.
