IRAN: VW CARS SET TO HIT LOCAL ROADS.

According to "Tehran Times", Kerman Motor Company (KMC) is to import Volkswagen (VW) Touareg and Passat passenger cars to Iran through its Bam branch. The marketing part of the business is already underway. The KMC also intends to build VW cars in Bam with the capacity of 200,000 units by 2008, projecting an investment of $100m for purchasing related equipment and machinery as well as investing 500-600 billion rials in construction and installation projects.
