CHINA: PEPSI TO INVEST 850 MILLION USD IN CHINA OVER NEXT THREE YEARS.

According to fdi.gov.cn: Pepsi (China) Holdings Limited recently unveiled its Pepsi 25th Anniversary Events in the ice city of Harbin. Pepsi (China) Chairman announced that Pepsi's first canning plant funded with 20 million USD was due to launch production in two months. Another encouraging figure was that in the next three years, Pepsi would spend 850 million USD in China.
Related sources show in 2005 Pepsi opened 3 plants in China. Till now, Pepsi has set up 40 businesses and projects in the forms of joint ventures, contractual ventures and WFOEs, with a total investment of over 1 billion USD. It directly employs 10,000 people in China.
