UAE: DATA ON TOURISM IN DUBAI IN 2005.

A-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper quoted Director of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority Ahmad bin Said al-Maktum, who is also President of Emirates Airlines, who said in early January 2006 that the rate of hotel occupancy in Dubai during the Summer 2005 Festival reached 87-95%. The Authority decided to build an apartment hotel at the Dubai Marina at an investment of DH 300 million ($81.7 million).
The Dubai Land Project was able to collect investments totaling DH 50 billion.
