JORDAN: APC IN TALKS WITH EMPLOYEES.

According to "Jordan Times", the Arab Potash Company (APC) agreed to nine demands of its workers, who staged a strike last week, head of the Trade Union for Workers in Mining and Metal Khaled Fanatsah said. The company refused the 15th salary, the extraordinary increase on salaries and the technical increment for all employees.

A source in the Trade Union said that President of APC Board of Directors Issa Ayoub and Managing Director Brent Heiman met with Labor Minister Bassem Salem and Fanatsah in order to reach an agreement over the dispute between the company and the workers. Fanatsah said that the agreement is almost finalized but he can't talk about details before signing a document in this regard.
