EGYPT: BEGINNING OF USE OF DOW JONES PRICE INDEX ON BOURSE.

A-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper reported on the beginning of use of the Dow Jones World Share Index on the local Securities Bourse. The paper quoted Bourse President Majid Shawqi who said in early April 2006 that the date for beginning to use this index was set at April 12, 2006. Taking part in the ceremony to mark this event were government representatives, representatives of the Stocks, Ltd.
Company, which is responsible for its operation and treatment in Egypt as a joint project between the German Securities Bourse, the Swiss Securities Bourse, and the Dow Jones Company.
