USA: SAAB TRAINING AWARDED CONTRACT FOR MULTIPLE INTEGRATED LASER.

Saab Training, LLC, Orlando, Florida is being awarded a ceiling $5,065,200 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to procure Small Arms Transmitters (SAT) for the Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES 2000) tactical engagement system, used in Military Operation in Urban Terrain (MOUT) training.
The current fielded MILES 2000 SATs are class 3A Eye Safe, which entails precautions to avoid possible eye damage from overexposure to radiated laser energy. These current SATs may not be fired at others within 10 meters, which is not conducive for MOUT training.
