EGYPT: NUMBER OF VISA CREDIT CARDS GREW BY 24%.

According to online press (January 14, 2007), the number of the Visa credit cards in Egypt has increased by 24%, placing Egypt in a lead position, second only to the U.A.E. across the Middle East, said Mr. Tarek Elhousseiny, Visa CEMEA's Vice President and General Manager for Egypt and Libya. Thus, Egypt accounts for 22% of Visa credit cards in the region, Elhousseiny added.
