According to Al-Bayan newspaper (February 6, 2007), Mr. Nicholas Speeks, President and CEO of DaimlerChrysler Middle East, said that DaimlerChrysler sold a record 15,675 Mercedes vehicles (including Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, Maybach and SLR McLaren) in 2006, a 12.8% increase over the previous year's figure of 13,898.
