According to Palestine News Agency newspaper (March 22, 2007), on the occasion of the World Water Day 2007 (WWD 07), the Palestinian Central Statistics Bureau reported that 97.3% of the total families in the Gaza Strip were connected to the public water system by the end of 2006.
