CHINA: SYMANTEC TO ESTABLISH A JV WITH HUAWEI.

According to fdi.gov.cn: The telecom equipment provider Huawei Technologies revealed on May 21 that they would establish a JV with Symantec, dedicating to provide security and memory products. Both parties indicated that this JV would develop network security and memory products and provide them to global telecom provider and company clients.
The headquarters of this JV will locate in Chengdu with 51% equity held by Huawei and 49% equity held by Symantec. Huawei will provide license of intellectual property rights, R&D capability as well as over 750 engineering personnel to the JV.
