According to Oman News: Under the auspices of Sheikh Salim bin Ufait al-Shanfari, Head of Dhofar Municipality, the five-day regional workshop on the technology and multi system applications for the transactions ID cards organized by Omantel in collaboration with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the Arab Centre Excellence today kicked-off at Hilton Salalah hotel.
At the opening speech, Dr. Mohammed bin Ali al-Wahaibi, Omantel CEO, affirmed that Omantel is promoting the application of Multi Protocol Labelling Switching MPLS and the dissemination of its use in all public and private institutions in a big way as part of the country's e-government project which emphasises the expansion of the use of technology in all fields on a large scale....
