According to Al-Hayat newspaper (September 5, 2007), a recently released study by the International Data Corporation (IDC) a market research and analysis firm specializing in information technology, telecommunications and consumer technology, estimates the volume of information security spending in the Middle East region to reach $9.3 billion by 2009.
The Arabian Gulf States are estimated to dominate the majority of these information security investments.
