ALGERIA: SAUDI TELECOM TARGETS ALGERIA TELECOM.

According to Al-Khabar newspaper (September 9, 2007), Saudi Telecom Company has recently showed interests to acquiring Algeria Telecom's. Analysts said that the Algeria Telecom privatization is a strategic option for Saudi Telecom which is targeting to expand over worldwide markets. Despite the financial problem that Algerie Telecom was going through, several worldwide companies showed interest to buy Algerie Telecom shares including British Telecom and Emirates Telecom which is ready to offer $3 billions.
