TAIWAN: MOODY'S ASSIGNS FIRST-TIME RATINGS TO TAIWAN COOPERATIVE BANK.

Moody's Investors Service has today assigned first-time ratings to Taiwan Cooperative Bank (TCB) in Taiwan. The ratings assigned are a long-term/short-term local and foreign currency deposit ratings of A2 and Prime-1 and a bank financial strength rating (BFSR) of D. At the same time, Moody's Taiwan Corporation has assigned the bank national scale ratings (NSR): Aa1.tw for its long-term deposit rating and TW-1 for its short-term deposit rating.
The outlook for all ratings -- global and NSR -- is stable. The A2 local currency deposit rating, a six-notch uplift from its D BFSR-implied baseline credit assessment of Ba2, incorporates Taiwan's local currency deposit ceiling of Aa3, and Moody's assessment of a very high probability of systemic support for TCB,...
