USA: MOODY'S DOWNGRADES BANK FINANCIAL STRENGTH RATING OF CITIBANK.

Moody's Investors Service lowered the Bank Financial Strength Rating (BFSR) of Citibank (South Dakota), N.A. (CSD) to B from B . Moody's also lowered CSD's long-term deposit and senior debt ratings to Aa1 from Aaa, and affirmed the short-term rating at Prime-1. The rating outlook is stable.
The rating actions conclude the review of CSD's BFSR initiated on 5 November 2007 in conjunction with Moody's rating actions of the same date on Citigroup Inc. (Citigroup) and related entities; and follow Moody's rating action of 13 December 2007 in which Moody's downgraded the long-term ratings of Citigroup, senior to Aa3 from Aa2; lowered the BFSR of Citibank, N.A. (Citibank) to B from A-; lowered the rating on Citibank for long-term deposits and senior debt to Aa1...
