AFRICA: MOODY'S REPORTS: EMEA ABS CONSUMER LOANS INDICES SHOW STABLE DELINQUENCIES IN Q4 2007.

During Q4 2007, over EUR3.2 billion in consumer loans asset-backed securities (ABS) were issued in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, bringing the total transactions volume for 2007 up to over EUR7.7 billion in this segment, says Moody's Investors Service in its first all-in-one performance index report for the EMEA Consumer Loans market.
Moody's index report, which covers performance data up to the end of December 2007, details delinquencies, defaults, losses and CPRs for EMEA consumer loans ABS transactions. "The delinquencies 90-180 days overdue remained stable at around 0.93% in Q4 2007. However, the cumulative default and loss indices continued a rising trend, standing at 1.87% and 1.73% respectively," says Olimpia da Silva, a Moody's...
