EGYPT: WHO TO HOLD INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON BIRD FLU NEXT OCTOBER.(Conference news)

Participants at the session the 61st session of the World Health Organization (WHO) which was held recently in Geneva and attended by Hatem Al-Gabaly Health and Population Minister decided to hold the international conference on bird flu in Egypt next October, in appreciation of Egypt's pioneering role in dealing with bird-flu as the Egyptian experience is successful and should beapplied to all countries suffering from this disease.

Al-Gabaly said still infection rate of bird-flu in Egypt is the lowest in the world as put by World Health Organization. He said six medical convoys are touring the remote village every day to compensate for the lack of medical care in those areas. He added WHO praised Egypt for the elimination of Polio.
