GULF STATES: $400 MILLION SOFTWARE PIRACY LOSSES.

According to Al-Ghad newspaper (May 12, 2008), a recently released report by the Business Software Alliance (BSA), which is the voice of the world's commercial software industry and its hardware partners before governments and in the international marketplace, estimated the software piracy losses in the Arabian Gulf States at $400 million in 2007 compared with $388 million in the previous year.

These losses were incurred mainly by the software manufacturing companies.
