IRAN: IRAN PROTESTS UPDATE.

Hundreds of thousands of Mir Hossein Mousavi's supporters have taken to the streets of Tehran and elsewhere in what has become the largest protest in Iran since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, to contest Mousavi's defeat in the Presidential election to rival President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Mousavi, urging for increased-yet peaceful-demonstrations has demanded a new election, alleging pervasive fraud in President Ahmadinejad's June 12th victory.

"I urge you, Iranian nation, to continue your nationwide protests in a peaceful and legal way," Mousavi wrote on his website.
