New movie of late Pope.(Vatican)(Brief Article)
Catholic Insight, December, 2005
New York -- CBS Television Network plans to present a new four-hour mini-series on the life of John Paul II in early December. On November 17, Pope Benedict XVI will attend the world premiere screening of the movie in Rome in the Paul VI Hall (the site of papal weekly general audiences). Others who plan to attend are Archbishop Stanislaw Dziwisz, John Paul's private secretary, and Joaquin Navarro-Valls, Vatican spokesman.
Vatican historians have provided advice on the script and the movie has been filmed at the authentic locations of the Pope's life in Poland and Vatican City. If the script sticks to the synopsis provided to Catholic Insight by its producers, it should result in a truthful presentation of the life of one of history's most remarkable figures....
