KISTLER INSTRUMENT CORP., AMHERST, N.Y. The type 5114 power supply/coupler is a low-cost, single-channel coupler that provides constant current excitation for Piezotron and other commercially available JEPE low-impedance, voltage-mode piezoelectric sensors. Sensor power is supplied by the same two-wire cable that provides the low impedance output signal.

The coupler is powered internally by one standard 9 V alkaline battery or by an external ac/dc line power adapter. A large 3.5 digital display with half-inch digits indicates sensor bias voltage and low battery condition. Frequency response is from 0.07 to 60,000 Hz [ or -]5 percent.
